Hello

My name is Lucie Wild.

I am an Accredited Play Therapist, trained to post-graduate diploma level, and a Creative Arts Counsellor for Children and Young People. I am cerified by PTUK and registered with the Professional Standards Agency (PSA). I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have achieved the Certificate of Proficiency (CoP).

I work independently within my own private practice, allowing for greater creativity in meeting the therapeutic needs of clients, and the support needs of parents, carers and organisations. I maintain my own regular clinical supervision, and access continued professional development to ensure safe practice within a clear ethical framework. I currently work within mainstream and specialist education settings in Worcestershire.

Clinical Experience

I have over 25 years experience supporting children, young people and families in a number of medical, educational and therapeutic services, including in the prison service, and specialist education settings for children with moderate to severe learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions. For 10 years, I worked in a childrens hospice providing specialist end-of-life and bereavement care to siblings and parents. I also have experience as a project manager in developing creative assessment tools to enable children, young people, and parents to be active in decision-making, and identifying and measuring outcomes.

I currently offer specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions for a broad range of emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Difficulties regulating emotions and reactions (presenting as anger, anxiety, panic, control)

  • Emotional challenges relating to disability, neurodevelopmental conditions, health or learning needs
